Ed Jones


fullsizeoutput_d48With three Super Bowls, three Pro Bowls, three All-Pro Honors, six NFL Championships, and 20 playoff games under his belt, Ed “Too Tall” Jones played 15 seasons as a defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys. He holds the career club defensive record of starting 194 games and was awarded the 1989 Ed Block Courage Award, given to the player who shows unusual strength in dealing with injuries and/or other adversities.

In 2013, Ed was inducted in the Black College Hall of Fame, and in 2015 was selected by Tennessee State University to receive the John Merritt Classic Honor.
